The LMS can be configured to automatically send welcome messages to new users, whether their account was created by themselves (if the LMS is configured to allow this), manually, or through importing. You can also manually send welcome messages to users.
The welcome message varies depending on whether a user initiates it (by creating an account) or you do. Messages have the following characteristics:
display as the sender name either the LMS application name or the organization name, depending on configuration.
presented in the user's preferred language as reflected in their user account
have a reply-to email address as configured (automatic replies such as vacation responses are filtered out)
contain a personalized login URL (user is prompted to set password the first time they use this URL, then are taken to the client's login page on subsequent uses) and/or a client login URL (user is taken to the client's login page with username and password fields empty)
